Nevada’s Progressive Left is Fighting to Protect Corruption, Not Taxpayers

Feb 8, 2025

The progressive left has made one thing abundantly clear: they will do anything to protect their cushy system of corruption and wasteful spending—even if it means attacking those working to expose it. This is no more evident than in Nevada, where Attorney General Aaron Ford and Democrat leadership have once again sided with government bloat over fiscal responsibility.

Just recently, a Barack Obama-appointed U.S. District Judge, Paul Engelmayer, blocked the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) from its work in the Department of the Treasury, halting efforts to root out federal waste. The lawsuit behind this attack was led by a coalition of 19 attorneys general, including none other than Nevada’s own Aaron Ford.

Let’s be clear—this lawsuit isn’t about security or protecting sensitive data. That’s just political theater. The real reason Ford and his Democrat allies are fighting Elon Musk and DOGE is because they fear the exposure of their reckless spending and self-serving deals.

Musk’s task force exists because of a decree from President Trump, who won the support of the American people on a platform of reducing government waste. The Democrat political machine, led by figures like Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto and Sen. Jacky Rosen, refuses to accept this reality. Instead, they’re using the courts to protect their big-spending, taxpayer-draining agenda. Both Nevada senators signed a letter demanding the VA secure all information provided to DOGE—another ploy to hinder transparency and keep their reckless policies hidden from the public.

If their motivations were truly about good governance, why aren’t they supporting efforts to cut bloated government spending? Why aren’t they fighting for taxpayers instead of bureaucrats? The answer is simple: they benefit from the system. They have built their careers off the back of government largesse, using your tax dollars to fund their political ambitions.

The progressive left in Nevada has made their stance clear: they will stop at nothing to protect corruption and waste. It’s up to us—the taxpayers, the watchdogs, and those who believe in accountability—to call them out and demand real change before it’s too late.

DOGE NV is committed to exposing wasteful government spending, cutting bureaucratic inefficiencies, and ensuring Nevadans know where their tax dollars are going. We are actively researching government contracts, reviewing state budgets, and identifying redundant agencies that do little more than drain public funds. Our team is working to compile detailed reports highlighting egregious cases of mismanagement, so lawmakers and citizens alike can see the reality of how tax dollars are wasted.

From excessive administrative salaries in public education to sweetheart deals for politically connected corporations, our investigations continue to uncover the many ways taxpayer money is funneled into programs that provide little to no return. We believe in a government that is accountable to the people, not to special interests and career politicians. By shining a light on these issues and engaging with citizens, we can push for reforms that make Nevada’s government leaner, more efficient, and truly representative of the people it serves. Every dollar wasted is a dollar taken from hardworking Nevadans, and we will not stop until transparency and fiscal responsibility become the norm in our state.

I just discovered this organization today. At first, it seemed that Dogenv was based on the noble concepts of finding waste, fraud, and corruption in Nevada’s state and federal government. But after reading this article, it may be that Dogenv’s lofty ideals are just a cover to disseminate partisan propaganda. I’ll visit regularly to see how it plays out.

I agree with you! They’ve said it’s not political, which means bipartisan, yet the article “Nevada’s Progressive Left…” doesn’t look or sound bipartisan to me!!!
